Prop 19 effectively overrides these precedents of the California constitution in regards to Cannabis by giving local governments the authority to tax a ??growing crop?? WITHOUT LIMITATION AND WITHOUT A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE LOCAL PEOPLE.

Meaning the local government can choose to charge you $1000 a year for the privledge of your 5x5... then raise it without any voting nessary.

Hard to predict what kind of crazy city and county ordinances will pop up subsequent to 19 passing. Keeping your medical recommendation current will nonetheless be a wise move for the time being. After that we're going to have to wait and see. One thing for sure; we're going to see some cities come up with some real batshit stuff. On the other hand I'm confident wisdom will prevail... eventually.
