Smell of marijuana baking in oven..
I have a question regarding the science involved in getting high that I'm looking for educated people to answer.
Say you're in a house and someone in the house is curing buds and part of that curing process involves placing said buds in a preheated oven for a certain duration of time. This process produces a very potent smell in the house, especially around the aforementioned oven.
My question is this: If persons in this household were exposed to this potent smell of heating marijuana for a considerable amount of time, could/would they potentially get high?

I'm quite confused by your question.. so confused that i had to register to this site to try to answer it haha (just while browsing the many cannibis associated forums). Mainly Im not sure if its a true story/actual question or just hypothetical to ask about the lingering smoke if you can get high from it or what haha but I'm going to attempt to tell you what i DO know.
1. There is no curing process that im aware of that would call for you to put your buds in an oven at any preheated temperature. Aside from wasting mad amounts of electricity and depending on the temp u use, burning off a bunch of the THC from yer weed Im not sure why you would want to do that. Curing mainly just involves time, patience, dark air tight spaces, and the trimming of the excess leafs and plant material that retains moisture and would slow/ruin the curing process by either by making the weed too wet so it tastes like hell and burns like hell or worst case scenario you could loose all your bud to mold. (which just to help get rid of some moisture at extremely low temperatures if you HAD TO would be the only way i could see an oven helping the curing process)
2.Nearly all of the THC in Maryjane smoke dissipates out of it after only about 15-25 seconds so unless you were standing by the oven (which at a high enough temp could act as a vaporizer) huffing the fresh smoke coming out of it you couldnt get very high from it. Im not saying it couldn't happen but it would take a hell of a lot of bud, the oven would have to be extremely hot and you'd all have to be in a pretty damn tight enclosed airspace haha... and it would certainly waste a hell of alotta bud but hey whatever floats yer boat, happy toking to youimp:

what he said^^^^. patience is the key in curing process. impatience brings you to do irrational things like throw ur herbs in an oven to dry. not a good idea
