No nutes soil, adding foxfarm nutes. Good mix?

Whats a cheap inexpensive soil I can get at home depo or walmart that has no nutes, I have foxfarm nutes, and would like to add them myself.

Can I just buy perlite and dirt?

I wouldn't buy any mediums from home depot or walmart. I would get a soil less mix like sunshine or promix from your local G. store. Neither are amended which will make it easier to use the fox farm nutes you want to. The pro-mix HP contains mycros which help to establish a healthy root system. Both are ready to go straight out the bale.
