First off thanks for taking time to answer my questions.

I decided to try bucket style w/ Horsemanrocks modified Latewood's Legacy: GH 3-part system. I believe similar to what you use. I'm at veg stage & using:
    GH 3-part
    Liquid Karma
    CalMag+
    Humbolt Root(instead of subculture B & M)
    Superthrive

1st question: Why do you mix Micro first(silly question I know)
2nd: Root enchament is used every nuit change? The hydro salesman told me to use it only twice, once at veg & beggining at flower.
3rd: He does not use CalMag in nuit change solution(I must be misunderstanding that statement)
4th: When you topoff he says to put Calmag & LK in rez.(how much do you put in? if I add 5gal to topoff, do I add 5gal of Cal or LK, or the total amount thats in the rez)

I'm only in Veg stage & havent got to the others stuff yet but will ask when time comes.

You commented on "8 pot wilma ph ppm Questions" thread that you go no higher than 600 ppm but when after adding all the nuits above I'm at 3000+ ppm. I know thats really high & i normally go no higher than 1600 ppm when I'm using advance nuits & start with a quarter of whats recommended.

Another silly question about ph. whats the diffrence when you ph water before you add nuits compare to after add nuits. you still have to adjust ph after add nuits.

1st question: Why do you mix Micro first(silly question I know)to prevent some of the nuits. from getting locked out
2nd: Root enchament is used every nuit change?I use Diamond nectar from root enhancement and only in the veg. cycle, during flower they need to be growing flowers not roots. The hydro salesman told me to use it only twice, once at veg & beggining at flower.
3rd: He does not use CalMag in nuit change solution(I must be misunderstanding that statement)no CaMg in the initial mixing, its added to the make-up water,4-5ml/gal,then next week Liquid Karma is used instead of the CaMg in the make-up water
4th: When you topoff he says to put Calmag & LK in rez.(how much do you put in? if I add 5gal to topoff, do I add 5gal of Cal or LK, or the total amount thats in the rez)I don't use LK because it causes a slimy film to develope on everything, not using it I only change solution every 3-4 weeks.
I think the folks that sell the nutrients are the people who advocate changing the solution every 7-10 days. WHY, so we buy more chemicals, of course!it really isn't nessecary, maintain proper Ph is much more important and keeps the nuits. available
    I use Hygrozyme religously

[COLOR="blue"]nothing so long as your not over shooting and need to back titrate, which just makes SALTS in your nuits.
    Hope this is a help

Yes very helpful thank you. I normally change rez every week, it something my friend told me to do when he help setup my first grow. I understand what you mean about going to the store to get more nuits $$$ adds up quick. I added calmag twice already at the beggining of water change, hopefully I didnt hurt my girls. I'm going try it this way & see how it works but I would like a copy of your method/regiment for my next grow.

I didnt see anywhere on "Latewood's Legacy: GH 3-part system" about ppm, am I correct to assume that high ppm dont affect the girls.

Wrong! to high of a ppm will burn them things roots, use this calculator General Hydroponics Flora Nutrient PPM Calculator
If spraying the roots like I do, you will KILL em if using over 1000ppm. which for me is 1.3 EC scale,I always stay under 650ppm which is 0.9 EC

    BL4,
I hope that you donâ??t think that I tried to modify Latewoods feeding plan. Iâ??m quite scattered in my thinkingâ?¦.so my re-write was simply an attempt to organize Latewoodâ??s scattered thinking into something that I could understand.

Iâ??d love to go on and on about his method but I didnâ??t end up using it as it was considerably stronger (higher ppm) than the strain that I was growing could handle.

1st question: Why do you mix Micro first(silly question I know)

GH and others say that the Micro must be well diluted or will lock-out when mixed with concentrations of Grow or Bloom.

4th: When you topoff he says to put Calmag & LK in rez.(how much do you put in? if I add 5gal to topoff, do I add 5gal of Cal or LK, or the total amount thats in the rez)

According to instructions on the bottle. For me personally (tap water 100 ppm) I use less. As for LK, itâ??s a little messy in the controller so I use less of that also.

I didnt see anywhere on "Latewood's Legacy: GH 3-part system" about ppm, am I correct to assume that high ppm dont affect the girls.

Nopeâ?¦.my grow simply couldnâ??t handle that high ppm.

Iâ??ve moved on to another strain nowâ?¦â?¦but the overnute experience still shadows my thinking. I now think in terms of ppm and will run the grow slowly increasing the ppm. Likely though with the Latewood Calmag+ and LK influence.

I consider Latewoodâ??s Legacy as a highly instructional piece. It taught me a lot, but donâ??t be afraid to deviate if your strain mandates.

    As always, Luck.

after 10 gallons into the rez I got it dropped from 3300ppm to 1535ppm but this morning it was up to 1680ppm. If it doesnt drop by the weekend i'll switch out the rez.

Just follow the ratios, for flower its 0-1-2, which for me is 0ml Grow,4ml Macro,8ml Bloom. the 0-8-16 is way to much.
Don't remix your rez. instead drain out half of it and refill with water

hey HMR what flavor are you growing, does it tolerate higher ppm

    Daddy,

hey HMR what flavor are you growing, does it tolerate higher ppm

OK, Iâ??ll let you have a little laugh at my expense. The strain that freaked me out so much was Gainesville Greenâ?¦.a nostalgia strain that was gifted to me with 26 year old seed. It would not tolerate ppmâ??s over 300. Talk about nute shyâ?¦.it made a lasting impression.

Presently Iâ??m running PPP. I have a bit of a strange method where I pre-veg (from clone) in a bubbling slab tray under T-12â??s for about 8-10 days until I have roots about a foot long and then drop them into recirculating 5 gal buckets under Metal Halide. So I ran the pre-veg at about 350 ppm and only had the courage to up the ppm in the 5 gal buckets to 400.

Iâ??m ending the first week at 400 and will up the nutes to 500 tomorrow (GH flora, tap 100 ppm) That saidâ?¦.the plants are quite happy and growing nicely, so Iâ??ll settle for the moment on safe over fast.

Searching ppm for PPP I read so many conflicting reports. I am quite open to instruction on PPP. So if anybody has the interest in schooling meâ?¦.fire away.

    Nute shy,
    HMR
