zoloft and DXM

i take zoloft for anxiety and i want to do some DXM, does anyone know if taking zoloft will affect anything. is this a bad combo?

I think it is mostly MAOI inhibitors (different from Zoloft/Prozac/Paxil) that combine badly with DXM. Check over at Erowid to be sure, lots of DXM info there. I was on Zoloft (100mg) last time I took DXM. I drank 2 bottles (4oz. each) of the Robi brand extra strength cough. Only has DXM in it. If i had to do it again I would only drink 1 bottle. 2 was just too strong for me. That stuff can make you trip very very hard.

Exactly the info I was looking for. Thank You! I myself am on paxil, but at a low 20 mg at that, and wasn't 100% on if it was IN FACT an MAOI Inhibitor. Well, my first DXM experience, also fairly basic or so I hear at 300 mg, went over without a hitch. I however will gladly skip the sizzurp and go str8 to DXM ONLY pills, dexalon or robo cough and cold although robo c&c has only half of what dexalone does, it's 15 mg to dex's 30. It is tricky though if you take anti anxiety meds, must be clear on what other substances you use. For the year and a half that I've been on paxil i've, luckily, had not 1 negative effect as a result of paxil.
