Vons drug testing question?

i went in a few days ago and handed in my application to a manager who i talked to and answered questions to for about 30 mins and she told me to come back 2 days later(assuming to fill out papers or more questions i guess)do they drug test you on the spot and where ever you do the drug test does someone watch?

It may be too late at this point since you said 2 days, but I used to work and do the hiring for Genuardi's (also owned by Safeway) and they DO drug test. Safeway's policy is a mouth swab. It used to be an oral swab that was sent away to Quest, but last year they switched to a rapid result oral swab. The rapid result means they have results in from of you within 10 minutes, and the Safeway policy is that they have to confirm with another manager before accepting a pass or fail. If you fail/inconclusive then you have 2 days to go to a lab for a urine sample to dispute the rapid swab results. As I said this was for Genuardi's in Northeast USA, but they are owned by Safeway just like Vons so it SHOULD be universal policies.
