    Electric Man Scare?

So maybe I over thinking this but it has been bugging the crap out of me since I got home from work. This is the problem, today while I was at work a electric guy showed up and was out looking at my meeter and stuff. The thing is he was was not from me actual electricity company and my neighbor who keeps an eye out on my place went over and talked to the guy to see what he was doing,The guy told him not to worry about it that he was just doing his job and that it was not any of his business. I have the name of the company the guy works for and just wondering wtf would he be doing and why would he respond with an answer like he did. I am only running a 400wMH 16/8 so it nothing crazy but anyone have any input on what I should do or be thinking right now?

sounds sketchy, Honestly I would report to LEO's, just tell them someone sketchy has been messing around outside your house and the confrontation with neighbor. Or talk to your electric company and tell them
This post is a figment of your imagination, I am not a real person and this is all made up

I would do both. The electric company that services me has badges, even the meter guys (I asked to see his one day he was in my back yard looking for meter). Sometimes company internal security works faster than LEO's. I would think he'd be casing the place for valuables, and not weed, but it is pretty brazen to be doing something like that in the daytime. Just remember that LEO doesn't necessarily have to come in house (the man was outside looking at meter)

Crap such quick on responses. The company is a legit company I have seen them many times before while working. I just hate the response the guy gave my neighbor. I live in a trailer park but being discreet is the most important thing for me. Not one person I know has any clue I grow smoke and I sure in the hell don't talk about it. The last thing I would ever want is prison time and I have made sure to cover my ass in every way I can. Should I call my park manager and ask wtf is going on? Or should I call the power company and ask if they have any clue what would be going on? Also would a padlock on my shutoff box be a reason for all this crap? The reason I have that on is for my security system just so no one can shut my power off on me.

with a padlock on it's remotely possible that it was an electrical inspector making sure that everything is within code (with the addition of padlock), but that would be state or county and they'll have a badge (I'm an electrician). In my area the elec co doesn't like locks on/over thier meters, over the panel box is fine if enough space is left (must conform to NEC codes)...just another possibility

OK so I got it all worked out today and I guess I just really over thought this. You never like people around ur stuff especially when they give the neighbor an answer like the guy did. Thanks for the responses
