No. If you are not already taking Prozac (or others like Zoloft) daily, then taking some isn't going to do anything good, by itself or combined with weed. You might feel the side effects of the pills, which are all crappy, the first few times you take them. If you don't have a chemical imbalance in your brain, you will not ever get anything good from that stuff.
And I say, \"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.\" And he says, \"Oh, uh, there won\'t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.\" So I got that goin\' for me, which is nice.

I agree. All that crap is just, well crap. Drs. are slingin it like crack. I used to be on Zoloft plus some other shit. I feel 100x better since I got off all that. However you have to come off it real slow to keep from feeling all screwed up.

I've been on Zoloft, by prescription, for 7 months. I was NOT given it for "depression", but because I had digestive system problems, and anxiety. I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Proplapse last year, and Celiac/Sprue disease this year. The Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome was probably responsible for causing the occasional episodes of panic attack and anxiety, and the Celiac Disease was probably causing most (or all) of my intestinal problems, which I previously attributed to MVPS. With Sprue/Celiac, the small intestine is attacked by an autoimmune response when a Celiac person ingests gluten. Since eliminating most gluten from my diet over the past 7 weeks, my symptoms have been lessened.
The Zoloft took a while to work, probably due to my body's initial inability to absorb it effectively, but I have no unpleasant side effects from it anymore. I had not smoked anything for five years until recently, and was pleasantly surprised to find that herb and Z work very well together (for me, at least). I also have Xanax by prescription, for use-as-needed, but have not tried that combined with herb (and Z) yet. Xanax is more of a sleeping pill to me and not very uplifting. I'd rather save it for some upcoming plane trips, or when I get stuck on the subway.
.
Iā??ve got no ax to grind with Zoloft ā?? but itā??s not my intention to take it permanently and I intend to slowly withdraw from it in the future. I have read some studies that suggest antidepressants can heal permanently some peopleā??s inability to produce enough Seratonin after a period of taking them ā?? but who knows. Correct diagnosis, diet (including supplements), exercise, psychological outlook and education about my medical problems are helping to reduce, or eliminate, many of my symptoms - and if the Zoloft helped, then fine. If not, well at least it didnā??t do any harm that I am aware of.

When I was on Zoloft (a couple of years, everything from 50mg up to 300mg and back down to 50mg/day) and smoked weed I had no bad reactions to smoking. Xanax and weed however provides quite a reaction, very nice reaction IMO, one of my favorites.

I take an antideppresant. It took 4 weeks for me to feel any positive effects
,in fact for the first four weeks I felt worse due to the side effects
which are crappy for most people for the first few weeks you feel more depressed.
They are not a placeibo effect. If I wake up feeling depressed, 45 mins after taking one tablet I can no longer lie in bed and want to get things done. They play with seratonin levels a bit like e's

I was talkin about the placebo there.
They did a study tho i read about.
It gave half a gruop of depressed patients placebo and half anti-depresants.
Half of them reported feeling better and it didn't matter if
they took placebo or prozac.
They used the placebo to see if this stuff was a scam.
