I already do this for my products. I charge only what it cost to produce. Formula I use... [prices] Nutrients+lights+water (Total aka C1).
C1 Divided by plants= C2.
C2 X lb's = C3
C3X1.5(Personal Labor:Germination/Cutting+Cloning,watering by hand, sleepless nights tending, pruning, drying,ect) = C4 Cpo
C4 Cpo (Cost for Customer per Ounce)
EX: BLUE DREAM
Nutrients: 40+80+15+20=$155
Light bill 200/monthX4 months =$800
Water:$50/monthX4=$200
# of Plants:6
lbs: 1
Labor:X1.5
soooo thats 1155/6=$192.50X1=192.50X1.5=288.75
So my cost for the Customer is per Ounce of my Bluedream 100% Organic grown Indoors is 288.75 per ounce which is $4620 a P...
Now I could discount that -25% and its $216.60 Ounce just cuz There is no middle man and I grow and distribute my product myself.
Thats probably how a lot of growers get their prices, though.
Lets do a little bigger Outdoor of
SOUR DIESEL
Nutrients: 800 total
Light:X
Water:80/monthX6=$480
# Of plants: 21
lbs: 7
Labor: X1.5
Math:1280/21=$60.95(61)X7=426.66X1.5= 640 per Ounce, now thats $53,760
Per half a year so thats $107,520 Per year, thats a Nice salery for these Medium scale growers who have to deal with pests, DEA BS, weather, and of course The labor. Now @ $53,760 to Dispenseries they give a discount so lets say thats 10% for the Harvest, thats $48,384 for the dispenseries, they then take that /7= 6,912/ 12= 576- 25%= $394.50 per Ounce... thats how Prices are like 300-400 Ounce they already lower it even after they get it , just so it sells... How much lower do you want it? The Growers really only charge for the price it takes to produce, some of the plants take less or more and thats how you get price flux, also think about the "Fire" Factor.
If some Haze is selling for 175/ounce and Skywalker is 400/ounce its the Fire Factor and probably supply and demand. Skywalker is "fire" its a hot item, people found many Medical uses for it and thus its selling much more than Haze, this puts stress on the Growers to produce! So thats more water, more plants, more nutrients, thus driving prices higher. Trust me growing 3-5 plants and growing 20+ even indoors is a totaly different endevour. Its more energy, luck, skill, patience, and thats what you paying for if its a little extra....
