I also never said if you get less than 1.0 gram a watt you are a bad grower, I can not break .6grams in soil/soiless mix/hempy buckets/ chow mix/ straight coco.
But give me a recirculating dwc, or a LP aeroponic setup and ill smash 1.0grams per watt, its all in how a person grows, there are many ways to skin a cat, and grow a plant.
Some ways are just more efficient when it comes to costs, but I wouldn't say hydroponics is better than soil, just more efficient. Sorry if rubbed you the wrong way, best wishes.:hippy:
Now if you are growing specifically for patients, then I think efficient growing techniques are more important, because the cost of production is passed onto the patients.
So anything that can increase production, while lowering costs would be good for the grower to implement, not only to pass the savings onto the patients, but also to make more money yourself.

Things like running a recirculating system as opposed to DTW.
Using waterculture as opposed to a simple wick system, or an even less productive media like soil.
