Long term bud storage?

Is this a viable way to store bud long term (6-12 months)?

Put the plastic pharmacy cups into a vacuum seal-a-meal bag and vacuum seal it. Store in cool, dark place.

Is this going to be okay to vaporize down the road?

Seems like overkill, which is totally how I roll. I think you'll be fine.
