in addition to adjusting the ph of your water i would also suggest that you move those lights AWAY from your babies..........6'' from top of plant ...too much light to a just sprouted seedling will cause seriously stress .after it grows two or three sets of true leaf [and is healthy ] move the lights closer.always treat your babies as babies...no full strength anything.

Pls. help yellowing with little growth
Been trying to post a picture of my plants in Miracle Grow soil, but it seems the site is still having photo upload issues. I did manage to post the picture of my seedlings in my photo album, if interested.

Pls. help yellowing with little growth
I was thinking that it might be the lights being to close to i have them at about 1.5 to 2" away. So i should move the lights further away?
I also had that 1 plant close to the ballast of the light bulb for a day before i had a fan. I looked today and it still looks like the 1 baby is going down hill still. so ill move the lights further away. I was thinking nutes from the MG soil, but why wouldn't it affect both?
i was thinking humidity was a problem from the beginning. I should have put them in a humidity dome till week 1 was over. My mistake and l'm paying for it now.
Thanks for the input guys:thumbsup:
Keep it coming, Nothing much changed with those babies so ill give it a day and post a picture tomorrow..
RUSTY: looking good man. Those are under Cfl's? And what do you think about me moving the lights aways back?

I figured i add a couple of pictures of day 7. Take a look guys and let me know what you think.
Moved the lamps to about 3" is stead of 1.5".
Added water bowl for humidity
If you look at plant #2 in the picture and compare to day 6 pictures you can see that the yellowing has spread a lil bit. But the Plant labeled #1 has no yellowing at all.
Either way thanks, and ill be looking forward to you guys response:rastasmoke:
Heres the pictures----->>> Pictures by doeboy7421 - Photobucket <<<<------
Edit: By the way took down the foil replaced with white paper. Hopefully that makes a lil difference in temp(cooler) and light reflectivity.

I'd really rather not hijack this thread, but will be starting a MG grow log if and when the attachment feature is repaired.
Yup, CFL's for early vegging. I think there's 8 of 'em on, but I've got 10 bulbs available on that rack. CFL's light is only effective to about 6 inches, maximum. I wouldn't get all anal about unusable reflected light. (the light has to travel from the bulb to the wall, bounce off the wall, and get to the plant. Technically too far for CFL light) But good job removing the foil.
I keep 'em about 4" away from the tops. With that many bulbs, heat builds-up quickly. Were you talking about the semi hot 23w CFL's (100w equivalent) or the 100w CFL's which are brutal hot? Makes a big difference.
Young seedlings and clones appreciate an extra inch or two of space, but after a week or so I let them 'grow up' to the 4" buffer-space mark, and maintain that distance till ready for the late-veg HPS. They quickly adapt.
I always use a fan from day one. (Seedlings only. Unrooted clones do best in a dome)
Mine are something like 2 or 2.5 weeks old...? Not too sure. Years ago I stopped worrying about how old they are, and started looking more to when they are ready for the next feeding, transplant or harvest. I'm impatient enough without clicking-off the days on a calendar. Not a recommended tactic for the inexperienced, as knowing your plants are right on track is comforting.
Don't keep the rootball saturated, it'll stunt the plants and cause problems. I keep my humidity low on purpose. Hot, humid air provides the perfect enviornment for mold. Heck...I don't even spray 'em unless I have to. Pre watering I'm at around 30% relative humidity. Post watering I'm about 50% RH. (in the growth closet)

I also dont mean to thread jack but one quick question, Rusty can't wait for the log and are you using the miracle gro with the orange pellet plant food or the liquid filled balls?
