VERY COOL!!!

I cant believe it, now I've seen it all! lol a freind of mine (on a very low budget) was told by his better half (wife) that he could have the little closet in there storage bedroom down stairs in there home for a grow room, and could spend NO MORE THEN $500.00!!!!

When he told me about 4 months ago that he was going to do a closet grow using 2 waterfarm completes that he picked up for $40.00(for both) at a garage sale, I wished him luck and went on my merry way he then found a indoor garden supply company going out of business (internet) and picked up 8 single 4 foot sunblaster t-5 lights complete with ballast, 2 50 foot rolls of mylar, 2 little fans, 2 timers and some gh nutes for just under $285.00 (shipped)!!! :wtf:

Now here's the cool part, he's running 5 across the top of the closet and 1 down each side, and 1 about 3 feet up from the floor on the back wall of the closet! mylar is all over from the floor up!! 2 six inch fans! the only thing he's paid full price for is the t-5 BLOOM lights that he bought when he started flowering! 2 pkgs of 4 lights, $107.00 shipped! (growco indoor garden supply) and thats it!

the 2 plants are about 5 feet tall and are by all means budding!!! not like under a 600 or 1000 watts, but still are looking very nice and also look like there going to taste great!! NOT to shabby for less then $500 and very little heat issues? wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own 2 eyes!! t-5's! really??:jointsmile:

you dont read enough.

I veg with T5 HO's and have been doing it for months now. In fact the growth is so bad I regularly need to prune back my mothers about every 2 weeks. I have 5 x 3' T5 Ho's which are what your friend is using. Use 6k bulbs for veg and 3k bulbs for flowering. There is tons of arguments for why to not use T5's during flowering, but I say go for it especially in your friends case. T5's run very cool given the output and come highly recommended for small spaces.
