Yup, getting a downpour as I type this now.

What are you using for starter soil?

I'm using half garbage soil from last years grow, half home made compost. If I have a pile I need to start fast, I use smaller pots and straight Sunshine mix #3. Throw some 14-14-14 time release on 'em and let 'em rip.

Well they seem mighty healthy as of now, but i cant wait to see what that nice sunshine will do for them. BTW i meant to ask how you are going to keep the rats away from your seeds? You had said they go after the seeded plants so breeding must be a pain in the butt. I would try the steel wool, but im sure you have this figured out by now.

Good luck bro, il be watching for sure:thumbsup:

Starts see the sun every day. I move them to the CFL's at night. A couple of months back a stray cat adopted us, and he has been keeping the rats off the deck. Cat also knows where the dogs can get to and stays out of range.

Any rat on the ground in the yard is toast. Dogs will find them, turn them inside out, and bring them to me for a reward.

I also keep the starts under a wire mesh when they are small, because the cardinals like to eat them. You can also put your trays on buckets, rats can't climb them.

Anyway, these starts go inside every night, so the rats don't even get to see them. At this size, the rats will only attack them if there is no water. We had rain, so this size is immune...for now.

    Easy?
    Hah!
He only makes it look easy.

I managed to screw it up royally!
I'm down to 1 strain in DWC.

Yesterday, I check da bucket and there's foam!
Root ball turned brown overnight in a fresh, (5days), fill.
Hit it with Peroxide, a mild fungicide, and a spritz of Serenade.
Yellowing seems to have stopped on da new growth within hours.
She ain't "singing" yet, but at least she stopped slumping.

    Aloha,

    'Morning Earthlings,

    Another shitty day in paradise.

The market is flooded, everybody and their own mother has a crop in the bag. Fat times are here. A time to see and smoke (I call it "market research", wife of my youth calls it the two month stone out) all varieties of what the competition has to offer.

Now that the gulch is empty, it has been calling me. I hate empty holes. The starts below are now happily growing in the gulch. Planted them yesterday. Also took the opportunity to enlarge the gulch. Sprayed the whole thing with Round Up.

There was one 90 day wonder clone there, now gone. Pic below.

New strains gathered include some Jack, a refugee from #10, and a fruty sativa that a friend is growing, and he gave me some seeds. We will see where that goes.

So where do we stand? The gulch is planted with the pure cali strain, skunk/thai. Next wave is skunk/thai x ww/blood. These should be all girls. Next wave is unknown. From B.

This log is like watching paint dry.

    Bummer,
