First of you should gut it. As for the setup, it's pretty much up to your creativity. You need to have the right strain of seeds for a grow that small too. As for the pc fans, you can order them off ebay for really cheap (1.50). Get however many you need then pick out an AC adapter that has the same ratings as the fans. Then screw them to the vents in the pc casing, making sure the air flow directing is the way you want it. Use your imagination. Good luck!

You would need to splice the wires and match up polarity. Usually if you get polarity wrong the fan just wont power up. So you'd pretty much know if you have it wired right. Other times though you have to be careful because if you get polarity wrong, you'll ruin your adapter.

You and me both. I started mine in a 55g aquarium. I planned on staying in there, but they got so big I had to move them. That's why I say you need the right strain, not just some bag seeds. There's a certain plant strain that stays really small, and flowers really small... perfect for your pc grow.

I would assume that controlling temperature and humidity in a pc grow would be as simple as a towel over the pc tower.

YouTube - Hack your AC adapter what do you think of that way of powering the fan

I think that's a temporary solution to powering fans. You need to cut the plug off the adapter, strip and splice the wires. Match up the wires from the pc fan and the adapter and use wire nuts to connect them. Less chance of something coming apart and possible catching fire and blowing your grow.

Whats up? Ive grown a few runs in a PC case and now I use it for a nursery.

The fans work on 12v DC and usually a very small amperage. Find a 12v dc cell phone charger or something. Make sure the amperage isnt too much over what it stated on your fans. Its also perfectly fine to wire them in a series to all run from one charger.

I was able to cram four 26w CFLs inside. Had to hang a pc fan from the bulbs to move the air more efficiently towards the exhaust fans. Its important to have all the fans on the back of the case exhausting. The act of pulling the hot air out will also draw cooler fresh air in.

Temperature and controling your plant height are the hardest parts. It will never get cold inside unless you have it in a cold ass room. It will always be hot so keep an eye on your plants. One short indica heavily trained or possibly two small autos depending on the size of your case.

Dont forget to spray flat white paint on the inside. DONT use foil...
