If you're trying to avoid an infrared signature or noticeable power spike, I'd suggest using fluourescent grow lights. If your grow space is relatively airtight, fluourescent can take a slight edge off of any really chilly space.

However, if you need add'l heating from your grow lighting, just spring for a 400 - 600 watt high pressure sodium lamp...you'll get better yield from the veg stage, and possibly not have to run any heaters during the winter.

Nirvanabud Reviewed by Nirvanabud on . how much light is needed ? my friend is doing a grow this winter in his closet, he is trying to use minimal ligh and power because the *power ranger* as he calls it comes and checkes the meter from time to time and he cant afford to get nailed with even a small grow.. i was told he will be growing an auto flower dwarf called AK 47 im sure i dont need to go in detail about what that is so moving on.. long story short he wants to grow 2 of these at a time and plans on getting over 20 grams per plant just for personal use..
