LA Times Full of It
...and yielding $6,000 a pound on the street. As far as I'm concerned, there isn 't a pound of marijuana grown by anybody that is worth $6k. The LA Times begins it endorsement for a no vote in Prop 19 with distortions. Yeah, its full of holes, etc, but frankly, the plant shouldn't be illegal in the first fucking place. It far, far past time this issue was dealt with on face value. The prohibition is based on myths and lies and distortions. And that is beginning to sound exactly like our present government(s) and not the one the Constitution dictates. :twocents:

To illustrate how some of our rights are becoming myths, I believe, the constitution states that we are all endowed (born with) with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I see nothing in that statement on its face that says only after the legislators decide what those rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are. By the Constitution on its face, the legislators really cannot tell us we can't use cannabis, its only because we let them. An unlawful prohibition is an unconstitutional usurpation of our fundamental right to do what we wish to ourselves without government intervention. If corporations can do what the SCOTUS says with the same rights as an individual and do what they do and get away with, its the height of hypocrisy to deny citizens the ability to use and grow cannabis in their own home or other private place. Last but not least, they will try and shove genetically modified, shaky FDA tested (sic) frankenfoods down our collective throat. To that I say fuck you government!!! (Y)

the other complaint was about the county level authority. again I say look at alchohol. this is precisely how it was ended. the authority was given to the counties to decide. it is a proven mechanism that will work. those that fear it seemed to want a global one size fits all top down mandate. that strikes me as communist. power to the people.
good catch, gypski, and this is first of several articles they are going to publish by this writer ???the battle is about to begin. prepare for the prohib blitzrieg. can't wait to see what their October surprise will be.

MJ os only $6000 a pound because of prohibition. If it was left alone it would be selling for $300 or $400 a pound. But that would be before the state or feds get involved again and then it would be heavily regulated and taxed. It would end up like tobacco, you'll be back to spending $6000 a pound.
An American tax payer should be allowed to grow ANY plant they want for personal consumption.
