well i know dark cool place but is it best to cure bud and stem.or wash roots of dirt and hang roots and all?

Hey there ande5657,
When people are going to harvest thier plants they ususally say "chop them down" not dig them up. You don't want the roots.
Usually you cut the plant at or near it's base, then trim all the large leaves off and hang them to dry. When they have dried enough, you take them and trim them real good. Then you dry them some more. After that you can cut the buds from the stem and start to cure them.
