Caregivers, I need your help.
Well, they back slid. Caregivers are going to be banned in Denver and cultivation is limited to card holders unless it gets voted down on the 25th. Nevitt was the only dissenting vote, although Linkhart hadn't arrived yet.
I spoke with Doug after the meeting and he's saying the community isn't reaching out to the council.
Anyone feel like sending a letter yet?

Caregivers, I need your help.
how do they get to outright ban a constitutional right?
this is likely better than the 12 plant limit, as this will bring litigation.
I WISH I could help you.
problem is 99.99% of the patients and caregivers are out of the loop.
should reach out to Laura at CTI as she has the biggest list!

I've been e-mailing back and forth on it, she's got things covered on her side. I'm just trying to reach out to people that may not fall under their umbrella. This public hearing is going to be critical.
I'm just concerned that the turnout at the last hearing was more about MMC's not wanting to lose their "caregiver" status at the time and less actual caregivers and patients. I expect the public to be more involved, as well.
This does not look good.

Denver acts and lots of municipalities follow. Even if you're in an outlying community, I'd encourage everyone to contact them.

Good Point, I have decided to contact them I am still working on the letter, as I want to make sure I cover all points.

2) Caregivers are already very limited due to restrictions placed on them such as the requirement to sell for cost
3) Caregivers are limited to 5 patients so that should not create a traffic issue any worse than any home based business. If they aren't following the law then enforce current laws.
4) My disease limits the prescription meds I can take due to the stress placed on the liver.
5) if Caregivers are eliminated cost will prevent me from utilizing MMC's & make it impossible to obtain medicine.
this is just a basic out line but some of the subjects I want to include

Not a problem, I didn't offer before since I didn't live in Denver anymore, but you brought up a good point and I really do want to insure my access, cause it helps a lot with both my pain & Nausea

My Question is, Who do I wright? and how do I word it? While Denver is doing this, I've heard that Broomfield is even trying to ban a patient from home growing!

I live in Thornton, which has a ban on dispensary's but not home grows/ caregivers to the best of what I can find. So Denver rules don't effect me, but your right, what they adopt Thornton will follow.
I would really hate to see this trend of city's banning a patients right to grow their own meds, and or chose their own caregiver continue.
