I'm a first time grower too, and I grow in hydro.... but that looks like overwatering. Without knowing anything about your grow, nutes, lights, ect.. Maybe one of the senior members will confirm or bust that theory? Do you foliage feed? What is the brown water all over the leaves?

I don't have problems with overwatering because I use hyrdo, so I'm not quite sure how to fix it. My educated guess would be not to water it for a while until the soil seems, well, not so wet. lol. Your plant is young, but I think it should recover. Plus, unless you foliage feed, I don't think you should pour the water directly on the plant. Not only is this true during veg. phase, but especially flowering, because it will encourage mold. I hope your not using nutrients yet, your plant only looks to be about a week old or so.

Specifically...what kind of light, and how many watts? Is it an HPS, a metal halide, a mercury vapor, oil-n-wick...?
Cannabis in soil demands a wet-dry cycle. If it's not pretty friggin dry, don't water it. You will encourage nutrient lockout, you suffocate the roots, and root rot will develop. This is fatal. A pot that size might need watering once a day in the summer, perhaps once every two or three days in the winter...depending on growroom conditions. (for examole)
Feed per directions once plant is mature enough to use whichever nutrients you'll use. Usually start half-doses at about 3 or 4 internodes. 6 or 7 internodes if using Miracle grow or other pre-fertilized soil mix.
Keep a (circulating) fan on it at all times, or at least while lights are on. Strengthens the stems and branches, and allows the soil to properly dry between waterings and feedings.
Start reading some grow logs where the gardener is doing the same techniques. (indoors, in soil, same lighting...) and try to get a solid idea of what's going on. This is a learning process full of trial and error, but if you can cut-through the wives tales, misinformation and miracle 'snake oils' you are half way there. Keep it simple, but learn the basics.
