i cant get temp down!! look at picture pls

i cant get my temp down.. not with the tent-doors open or closed... nothing seems to help. ive even pulled a tube from window to the fan so it gets cold fresh air right into the tent and stringed a fan up against the HPS 600w to cool it down (does this even help? or does all the warm hot air just move about in the tent anyways?)

any advice? should i leave all the doors in my house open?

edit: oh yea forgot! My thermometer is IN THE SHADOW in the middle of the floor and i still get readings of 29C

wondering if its actully colder because of all the wind inside? do i actully freeze my babies ?? :O :wtf:

    awsome paint skillz:

That is a pretty picture. Put the vent at the top above the lights. Even if you have to build a column inside the grow. The exhaust should be at the top.

BTW: That pic is going on my refrigerator /print

    Hey Jebus,
I've never done a grow before, just been reading and planning for a 1st grow in about a month. So take anything I say with a spoon full of salt (a grain just isn't enough)

Your picture looks like your missing an air extraction system. Pretty sure your going to need to pipe out your old hot air a few times every 5 minutes. Maybe you could take the duct hose from the window and put it through the top of your tent with an inline fan for an air extraction system. It looks like the fan setup you have now will only push around the air and not cool it off in the way needed.

    Good luck Bro!

atm i just keep the tent doors open so im guessing i dont need to extract air? im sorry if anyone missunderstood, i dont use any of the 2 fans for extraction atm, im drawing air FROM the window to the tent. im going to ofc use a carbon filter (?) and extract air from the top but atm its seedlings only 5-6 days old so no need for filtering anything cus of no smell.. but still the room is heating up and i need to keep the door open but ofc.. thats not an option in the long run..

i'd buy a cooltube if i had money
i'd have money if i had a job

lolz just kidding *emo* but ya rly ill try to save up some cash (somehow) and buy a cooltube..

OH almost forgot! if i buy a cooltube do i seriously need a NEW fan?? omg thats an extra 100$!!

atm i got one 125ø fan and one 100ø. i use the 125 for the carbon filter and extraction and use the 100 to blow air in to the tent.. do i need another one for the cooltube?

    Hello Jebus,

First off, to run any HID (HPS or MH) light in a confined area you need to cool the light and extract that hot air out of your enclosesure. The least expensive way would be to use a "cool tube" but for better light footprint use a air cooled hood. Plus you need to dedicate a decent sized inline fan just for this. If the room your tent is in is comfortable for you, the air from that room is fine for input. If not take the air from outside and consider running your flowering photoperiod from say 8pm to 8am (or whatever works for you during the night).

Next you need a decent sized fan to exhaust the air in the tent, and this out put will need some sort of air scrubber, either charcoal can or ozone to kill the odor. Some people combine the light cooling and exhaust with one fan by using the air in the tent to both cool the light and exhaust the enclousure, but this output needs an air scrubber also.

There's your starting point to get temps under control, hope this helps you.
