money-saving tip
Hey there guys and gals, for those of us who plan on using their harvest trim for hash-making(bubble hash anyways), I've got a money-saving tip. Instead of spending a couple hundred bucks on the large 5-20 gal bags, get the cheaper 1 gal. bags and do all your stirring in a seperate larger bucket then pour the mix through the smaller bags or simply get one 5 gal 220 micron replacement bag and a 1 gal kit. Just a thought as some of us can't shell out that much for filters. Peace :detective1:

Even better to save yourself from the wet work, get a 120-150 micron sieve from a pottery supply. You can get either a large 8 or 10 inch diameter one or a smaller 4 inch one depending on your need and amount your plan on processing. Then press, no water mess. Grind and sift and you can make a couple of passes. Two sizes catch all the best diameter trichomes. Just as good, if not better then bubble. And, its the old fashioned way!! :S2:

great idea  . I've been digging the waterhash, though, which seems to be the trend lately. Both are a little laborious, but the dry method seems to be more of an art. Cheaper, definitely, and it can be just as good as bubblebags, but it depends on how much care you put into it. peace. Side note, do you freeze your material before you dry-sieve?

I like the taste of bubble hash, but it just doesn't take care of my needs. I will occasionally get a gram from my local dispensary, but it's really just to enhance the flavor of whichever bud I choose this week. I AM interested in making honey oil though. Trying to decide how to do it right now since I harvest in about a week. Everything I've found comercially available is made out of PVC and the off gassing concerns me. I know that butane melts PVC so I've been considering sacrificing one of my inexpensive glass bongs to use as the tube. I've just got to figure out the caps.
