Consider using an air cooled hood to deal with the heat issues associated with HID use. If that alone is not enough, check out the products from Hydro Innovations. They have insulation pkgs for reflectors and water cooling options.

Since am new to indoors as was wondering about on average how many plants can you put under a 1000 watt hps lamp? and how many under a 600 watt? Just wondering which one I should get? Am guessing the 1000 watt would allow for more plants because it puts out more lumens per sq ft but am also guessing that it would cost more to run. Rating: 5
