    LSD RDWC SCROG GROW

Last night my water pump sprung a small leak, and I do mean small. A drop every few seconds.
Luckily I have a backup pump.
It will get switched out this afternoon.
    Disaster averted.

    Hi RIpatient7,

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. It sure has been a huge learning experience so far, and I haven't even made it to a harvest yet.

As far as the Cutting Edge Solutions nutrients, yes it does have ph fluctuations. It does not correct your initial ph either. You have to mix nutes and then adjust to desired ph. It also makes the water look like a really dark Kool-Aid. :wtf:
This plant seems to like it, but I am not completely convinced.

I have not tried FoxFarms nor General Hydroponics, but I am trying out Advanced Nutrients on my clone for this next run. The ph with the Advanced has been really steady so far.
If any of the veterans around have used those nutrients and would like to give their two cents feel free to reply here, I don't mind. :hippy:

Best of luck and happy growing to ya.

I think I transplanted to soon, because they are not really rooted yet. The way my container is set up, I can not submerse the net pots. So I have been top watering a couple times a day. I also found out that there has been some sort of growth in the res. It doesn't seem to be an algae or fungus growth. I believe it may be some sort of water born pathogen. It's white and has the consistency of a rubbery jelly. It clogged my return line and took over the bottom of the net pots.

So today I made a smaller tub that for now they will call home, while I'm breaking down and cleaning the other system. They will stay in this tub until they are fully rooted, because the net pots can be submersed now. All of them had to be removed from their pots cleaned and re-potted with new hydroton. I also started using some H2O2 and tap water in the res. The idea behind the tap water is maybe it will help kill this stuff off.

If anyone has some ideas or knows what this jelly stuff is, please let me know. :rastasmoke:

    The Soup:
    • 10ml/gal 30% H2O2
    • 5ml/gal CalMag+
    • 5ml/gal Pro-Silicate
    • 5ml/gal each of Micro, Bloom, & Grow
    Hey tiki,
You should drop that res. temp to about 58 degrees. That will give the plant a chance to uptake oxygen through the roots. Everythang looks good, too!

    GaGrown,

I have been using a venturi that I made to get more dissolved oxygen in the water. It has been working great!
As far as lowering the res to 58*F I have found that it is to hard to maintain without a water chiller.
The res stays right around 70*F, and with the use of beneficial bacteria and the venturi she has been thriving.

That's great! I just thought I would mention it,cause that is the norm for most operating res. tanks. Since you have it under control.. Adding the oxygen to the water at that temp. will make it harder to uptake the added oxygen,by the roots.. Lookin' good,My Brutha!

She's been shedding lower fan leaves for the past couple days. I believe this is due to the canopy being so thick that there's not enough light for the lower leaves.
Other than that the bud sites seem to be developing well.

wow, very impressive demonstration of SCROG. I'd like to try this but a little hesitant as i'm inexperienced. I'll probably top to get 4 cola's instead this round, but maybe next time i'll try something like what you got!
