..so whats good with scrog? Do you keep bending the stems like you do and slowly raise the screen and keep 'bending' the stems parallel to the screen every so often?

I always thought you had to poke the head of the plant through the screen..smh, shows what I know

This is still my first time with scrog. The way I have trained this girl is the way i think it should be. I already know from the experience so far, that I will be training the next one a little different.

Just a quick note on beneficial bacteria. If you're not using RO water with the bacteria there's a chance you may be killing the bacteria before they're given a chance to multiply, depending on how much chlorine or chloramine is in your local water supply. Apparantly just 1 ppm of chorine is enough to exterminate most pathogens.

Like I said I love your setup. How does that bucket outside the tent work? All those hoses and pumps coming out of it look cool but I wish I had a clue how it works. How do you change your rez?

The main reservoir is higher than the auxiliary reservoir. I have two outlets on the main reservoir.
One is at the height where I want the water level to be. The other one is at the bottom with a shutoff valve attached.
When running the system I keep the bottom valve closed. The nutrient solution is pumped into the reservoir until it fills up, and then it starts recirculating back to my lower res.

I also have two shutoff valves at the pump. One goes to the main reservoir, and the other to an open hose. In normal operation the open hose valve is closed and the reservoir valve is open.

When I want to change the nutrient solution, I first shut the valve to the reservoir at the pump. Open the valve to the hose.(This hose is put into a bucket.) Last I open the valve at the bottom of the main reservoir.
The higher res drains down to the lower res, and is pumped out to my extra bucket.
Then it's just a matter of dumping that bucket down the drain.

I hope that makes sense........

Things have been going pretty smoothly this past week. [Knocks on wood]
She is currently drinking about a gallon a day. :glugglug:

The new growth that is coming in no longer has that weird coloration. :dance: I guess she just finally outgrew it.

On this past Wednesday I added 1 ml/gal of Thrive Alive B1 to the reservoir. Still maintaining ppm around 1000.



That's about it, and now for the pics. (Here pretty soon I'll be able to say here's the bud porn!!)

Here's a pic of the three clones I kept. Obviously the center one is going to be trained for the next run.
The other two are going to be transplanted into soil, and then from there one will be chosen to be a mother.

I think I got most of that thanks for the detailed explanation. I run a similar system but much more barbaric. Lovin the power of machinery though hehe.
