Temps to hot in day with 1000w, need to switch to night...

My question...how do I effectively switch my light schedule from on during the day to on during the night? Should I leave the lights on for a period of 24...or leave the lights off for 24?


My temps are not crazy out of control, but with my chamber being in the garage, the ambient temps are still to high during the day. I currently have 3 flowering girls under a 1000w HPS, the hood is cooled by 6" ports on each side and an inline ducting fan pushing fresh air through. I have a 4x8x7 tent that is divided in 2. I also have a Vortex fan sucking fresh air in, through a charcoal filter. My lights are on during the day (7am-7pm) and my temps are averaging about 90 degrees(tooo high). I think the wisest thing would just be to turn the lights out during the day when its hot, and on at night while its cold.

Since your in flower I would defiinetly go with extra dark then extra light. If was veg I would keep them on for 24 hrs.

I am going to split it up for a few days...gradually switch over. Maybe dark for an extra 4 hrs for the next 3 days! Yeah...thats what Ill do!
