Question about Sexing

HI everyone, question. So I had been working with 3 plants. They are about 2 feet tall, (Indoors) (250watt) and have been on 12/12 for a week and 1 day (to be exact). Today I noticed that one of them had little balls normally two on one side of where the branch connects with the stem (they're very small). It looks like a male to me, i took it away from the other two because the other two did not have any of those little tiny balls, and although no pistil appear to be visible yet on the other two I dont want to take the risk of maybe it def being a male and pollen going everywhere by the time i can see pistils on the others.(hopefully) the other two are girls. The "male" that I took out is an Indica, and the other two plants are sativas. Any light or calmness anyone can give me on determining if my plants are girls before the white hairs really visibly show would be great. And how to be sure the male is def a male in really early stages.
