The video presentations didn't say anything about needing to get a grower's license if you were starting a grow operation, they just said that you needed to start a non-profit mutual benefit corporation. They also said that you can grow marijuana for any collective you belong to.

So, if I grow marijuana for multiple collectives, do I still need to have my own non-profit mutual benefit corporation?

Also, legally, aren't I allowed to grow up to 6 full grown plants for myself without having to start my own collective? Could I legally sell these plants to another collective?
You Don't , a growers permit this just adds 9/9 per patient you have under your care up to 99plants. No you don't need to start a Non-Profit to grow more than your legal limit of 18 (9 babies and 9 adults), just the permit. You can ask that you doctor ups your limit because the 18 that is the baseline isn't enough. Now to Distribute to Dispensaries or the Public, yes you will need a Non-Prof. And don't get me wrong starting a non-profit doesn't mean you don't pay taxes. You'll see if you start one lol... It just means you don't have to charge sales tax, you still have to report income, show proof of an exemption, and pay property tax on a building. Its not as easy as people think, That's why dispensaries have to charge so much. True their overhead isn't enough to have to charge 65+ an 1/8th but hey that's just Capitalism. I can't hate how they run it, I just try to be $10 or more cheaper than them at all times to help people save money without going bankrupt. Most dispensaries if your legal under guidelines will buy off you to support local growers. The only thing is they are going to want it at least half of whatever it goes for on the streets... EX: Skywalker is 370oz, so they want it for like 130oz from you at least, so they can jack the prices up.
