little plant in need of help

hey so my friend brought over this plant he has had for months under natural light next to his window in his room. it is only about 4 inches tall though.
i am now going to see if i can bring it to life under my lights. any suggestions?

Cruise this sight and read the grow logs and learn...:thumbsup:

My advice is to keep what lights you have a maximum of 5 inches away from the plant, but not so close that they burn your baby. And if the leaves are hanging over the edge of the pot it's planted in, it's time to upgrade to a bigger pot.
