Not all sellers of mail-order weed are scammers. It is perfectly possible to buy reasonably-priced, good-quality weed through the mail, but you need to use some common sense and do some research. First, you should stay away from unsolicited emails offering to sell you bud through the mail, unless they are willing to supply product up front, at least for the first buy. Second, stay away from websites which are easy to find via Google and other search engines. When you find someone you think may be legit, check the scam list first. Do your research! Check message boards like this one to see what people are saying about them. Most of the legit mail-order bud people get new customers by word of mouth. Ask around in weed-oriented chatrooms - get to know people, and soon you'll have a few names you can check up on. When you think you've found a supplier you want to buy from, ask them plenty of questions. See how quickly they respond to emails, and what kind of details they supply to answer your questions. If they take a long time to get back to you, and/or they're answers are noncommittal or dodgy, you probably should avoid them. Most places that are legit either take cash only or payments through an anonymous service, like e-gold. Sending cash through the mail seems risky, and in some ways it is, but the honest places will generally not screw you over: they WANT repeat business, and their success depends strongly on their reputation. And most important of all: NEVER spend more than you can afford to lose. Even with the best sellers, shipments do occasionally get seized or lost in transit. The better suppliers will generally replace a seized shipment, if you provide them a copy of the Customs Notice of Seizure, but lost shipments are usually a write-off. As far as getting busted for buying via mail, it's very rare. The amounts are generally to small to make prosecution worth the effort, and proving your intent to receive contraband is extremely difficult, if you use some common sense. Don't open the package immediately. When you get it, write "Return to Sender" on it, and set it aside for a few hours, or even 'til the next day. This gives you plausible deniability in the event law enforcement tries to make a bust. And if questioned: remember the three Ds" Deny, Deny and Deny. They can't prove anything, unless you've been stupid enough to leave a paper trail.

Feel free to email me with any questions or to ask about mail-order suppliers.

Use your intelligence when it come to buying off people. However if you cant rely on it - DONT do it.

A random person coming on a site leaving an email address advertising MJ with one post (although posts are not always a tell tale sign) with no one backing him up is likely a scammer. But to confirm a scammer usually will ask for money prior to delivery, thats why CAD (cash after dilevery) people often are reliable.

When it comes to websites you have to be fucking stupid to get conned. Just by typing in the websites name into google you will probably get a couple of reports on it.
Also by looking at the site itself you can tell sometimes. For example High Grade Seeds site. www.highgrade-seeds.com it says at the top "most potent" with no scientific evidence to back it up.

Also by having a look at this
    http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=8686
A tactic many scammer use is "posing" using fake accounts to look as though people have ordered off the site notice how a guy names Kypp Cox with only 14 posts says this

"I personally have bought several hundred dollars worth of seeds from HIGHGRADE SEEDS and my experience with them has been nothing but spectacular!! I have bought seeds from several places and none of them has been as nice, helpful, and respectful as HIGHGRADE SEEDS. I recieved my seeds within a week and the packaging is the best I have ever had. They always have given me extra seeds. As a matter of fact they have given me alot of extra seeds!!! They always answer my E-Mails within a couple of hours and are very nice. I believe HIGHGRADE SEEDS is the best SEEDBANK there is available today."

Bit suspect isnt it? Also when looking in the contact info on a site (all good sites should have this, if they don't they are scammer) On HGS site (as previously pointed out by Torog prior to HGS taking it down) they had cannadia.net's phone number on it. What kind of a site uses other people's phone number?!

Prior to ordering from ANY site you should always email them about the product, bear in mind these people are trying to sell a product to you and they are basically a "waiter". If they don't answer emails prompty (or at all) they arnt reliable either.
