Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
Hi there all,
Great to now be part of the forums after much reading!
I am looking into a very simple grow setup to house 1-2 plants in an area roughly 50cm x 50 cm x 50cm, perhaps even a tiny bit smaller, and am looking into LED lights which sit more within my price bracket.
I have found a few on ebay and have no clue on what to choose, if any. (although I am really hoping one of these would work fantasticly since $300+ is too much for me!)
LED LIGHT ONE
LED LIGHT TWO
LED LIGHT THREE
LED LIGHT FOUR
LED LIGHT FIVE
LED LIGHT SIX
Would something like these produce a quality like that of hydro?
I'd prefer to spend around the $150 mark but am willing to go a bit higher if need be!
I simply have no idea what "nm" each coloured light is supposed to have for ideal marijuana growing conditions etc etc. so some guidance would be great!

Lacking that, let me address this statement for now;
"and growth rates exceeding that of a 600W HPS."
No! It will not!
And I would avoid any vendor making such claims.
Two, good, 90-W led lamps will rival a 400W HPS.
Good luck from "up-over", mate.
Weeze.

Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
I've read that orange LEDs are just a waste, so watch out for them.
As for the best nm, wiki: Chlorophyll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Good Luck

Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments.
I have been reading up but there really is limited reliable information out there on LED growing, and it all seems so subjective on the forums. I want the facts of what will work!!
Okay so if anyone wants to look through the above 6 LEDs I have been looking at and giving me their reccommendation that'd be great, but otherwise I have come to the conclusion that perhaps
THIS
one would be the way to go? Although you mentioned orange is useless??
I read that the ratio of 7:1:1 is great for vegetive growth, but that one doesn't display the nanometers for each colour. I asked the seller that question so hopefully i'll hear back from him soon.
The only real reason I am more trusting of this one is because it is being sold in Australia, where I live, rather than from China. (Although they really are all probably from the same place!)
If I was to spend $170 on this I would want it to be able to support it well throughout the plants life..not just initial stages. "2 good 90W LEDS will rival a 400W HPS".. Does that mean with 1 of these 90W LEDs, it end up being more like outdoor grown buds, or hydroponic?
I really have searched through google for hours on this topic so I hope you guys can help!
Thanks again

Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
Sorry, there is also
THIS
one as well.. It is $10 more than the above one, but seems to include the "white" lighting as well as red blue orange.
Although one of the features mentioned this... "Powerful 90w led grow light to replace 2 pieces x standard 400W to 600W HPS grow light"
So I'm not sure if it's misleading or not...But the rest it has to say seems rather convincing.
Decisions decisions :S

Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
Ah I see. I thought a full spectrum was neccesary to have a complete grow?
If not...Are you saying something like this would be better?
LINK
or this one here is similar but slightly different I believe...

Again, sorry if it seems like I haven't researched at all. I have! extensively. But this forum is full of knowledgable people who know what'd definately work. Better than reading subjective posts from 3 years ago through google!

Hi there! L.E.D light - is this one suitable?
Okay so it seems as though none of the above are feasible because the globes are only 1 watt, where for flowering stage you need at least 3 watts per globe.
Is there NO affordable (~$150 - $200) option then for this?
