these pics should better explain things.
I have two trays that are actually designed for Rockwool slabs, but I filled them with Hydroton and Transplanted my Rockwool into the hydroton. I flood the troughs, and it drains back to ther res by gravity. I keep one side higher than the other with books so it drains freely.
I had some overflow issues when I first started and I also ran into some over watering problems, but Throughout the grow ive worked out the kinks and I got everything dialed in before I flowered them.
Very simple setup. Flood the trays and let gravity drain it back. I like simple.:jointsmile:
sorry for the shitty pic.drudown11 Reviewed by drudown11 on . Closet-Ponics Alright so this is my second hydro grow, ive grown with DWC before and I feel that im ready to really dip into olther hydroponic methods. I started my clones in rockwoll cubes and then transplanted them into bigger cubes upon rooting. I made a batch of nutrient solution. (5.5 PH and at 190 PPM) that included "Great White:, Big bloom, and grow big. Its a pretty weak mix but I have seen no signs of over fertalization. I made a drip irrigation system with a cheap water pump and five gallon Rating: 5

I was reading your grow and saw something at the local hydro store that sparked my interest. Dont mean to be a copy cat but I bought one just for shits and giggles.

I've lowered the PPMs of my base nutrient and added 2 ml/gal of purple maxx and also added 3 ml/gal of BUD XL. Noticed a little tip burn a couple of days ago, letting me know I've hit their limits.
Ive also noticed some light bleaching on my purple plant directly under the light. You can notice it a bit in the picture. I raised the light a as much as i could.
