Help a guy out (Ridiculously slow growth)
Hiya.
I'm tired of paying out the ass for good ol' MJ, so I decided to try and grow my own. Now, from some things I've read on the site, it DOES take a bit of patience, but from certain threads I've seen, a lot of people have these nice sprouts within 72 hours or so (For an example of what I'm talking about, see here: http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-gro...time-easy.html)
I've managed to successfully germinate a few seeds, and get it into one of those red party cups with some decent (Well, decent enough) soil but now the seeds just don't grow.
It's been about 5 days now since they've been in the dirt, and not a damn thing yet. I have holes in the bottom of the cup, with a container that catches excess water underneath, and I keep the soil nice and moist, but not overly saturated with water.
It's not too hot, or too cold where I have this sitting, so I don't believe temperature is playing a factor here. (But what do I know? I'm a complete newbie)
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or maybe my seeds just decided to quit on me after the taproot (Or whatever it's called) burst from the seed.
For the record, I germinated these directly in the dirt. No paper towel or anything like that. (I've NEVER had success with that for some reason)
Thanks for any input, and any additional advice would be FANTASTIC! I'd absolutely LOVE to start growing, but I'm so horrible with making things with my hands (I'm a horrid craftsman) that I couldn't even consider making special growing setups like many of you have. I'd like to keep it as simple as I possibly can.
Hell, if anyone could just help me to grow a few joints worth, that would be a success in my book. At the moment, I'm not looking to grow these humongous monsters that I see posted all over this forum. I just simply don't have enough gardening talent for that yet. After growing/harvesting a few successful (although small) yields, I might be up to that task.Cloud203 Reviewed by Cloud203 on . Help a guy out (Ridiculously slow growth) Hiya. well then i suggest getting a second job to pay for smoke. It helps to be handy and read alot. Indoor grows are pricey and setup can be tricky if you are not good with tools and such.also winter is coming. inless you are south of the equator. So outdoor to late...Big plants take years to perfect.

Wait, you used the 100% method and your seeds spouted above the surface correct?
You need to leave them in the rapid rooter until you see roots coming out the bottom before transplanting.
I've noticed that the first week after they sprout have very slow development.
During the second week they will start to develop sets of leaves.
(this depends on many factors of course)

No problem at all. Anything to see someone be able to grow their own happy plants and be able to provide themselves with medicine. I wanna be like Johnny Appleseed. I could be (My name) Hempseed! Spread the medicine across the land!
