Hi all. I'm really interested in setting up a grow room and havin a few plants in my spare room.
I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a plant that is relatively easy for a newbie like me.
I've heard that White widow is probably the easiest to grow and I know it's a powerful strain if it's grown correctly. However, I've been looking at White berry from paradise seeds and I am very interested. I can imagine the smell and taste and every review I have seen has been very positive. People have also been saying that it is easy to grow.
White berry would be my ideal choice but I just hope it isn't too complex. I will be there to feed/water etc every day, it's just I don't want too many complications as I want to learn to grow first, then maximise it as I've seen in someones sig.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm not the most professional grower butt.... I read a lot
My suggestion: White Widow, Northern Lights, A type of Skunk
I'd like to hear what you choose

As a first time grower myself, I will give you my input. I started out with some White Widow seeds. They may be easy to grow, but I have made every mistake in the book in my first 3 weeks with these little darlings and its a wonder they are still alive. My advice, don't start with expensive seeds. Start with bag seeds or something very economical from the seed houses so that you don't stress like I do every time something goes wrong and you have have to think about how hard the seeds were to get and how expensive they were. I am going to be so much better at this in round 2... thats when I should have tried the White Widow.
Absolutely. Your gonna make mistakes no matter what you choose to grow and everyone on this forum has had a mistake or two. This is a great hobby and its no different from anything you try and learn.
But you learn from your mistakes. (and I have been learning my ass off!) And you never quit, you just keep on until you get it.
Sounds like the White Widow is a better choice, its what I am thinking of getting for my next grow.
If you dont want to use bag seed and you choose to go with some feminized seeds, I would recommend Skunk/Haze feminized. It has always been a very easy plant to grow. I used 6-month release soil and all I had to do was add PH adjusted water through the whole veg cycle. When flowering came, I used some nutes that were higher in P-K and very low with N. I have not had any problems at all since the beginning of the grow. Just make sure NOT to add nutes during veg if you use a nute-release soil. Good luck and let us know what you choose.:smokin:

100% true, you will run into problems here and there. Just like I did with my FIRST grow attemp but when you learn from a mistake you made rather than from just reading it is something that will stay with you :jointsmile:
Good Luck!/Happy Near Year

I would caution AGAINST using a six month release soil like the one Miracle Grow sales. Either trolls were sneaking into the grow area and peeing in the pots or sumtin was up with that 6 mo MG. All other conditions but for the dirt were the same with the other grows but the MG 6 mo killed off every one of them girls at around four weeks into flower. No additional nutes were added to the MG pots.

I had a few different problems with the MG 6-month release when I first started using it but once I played around with it, it seemed to work out perfect. I didn't have to add any nutes until flowering and I started below 1/4 strength and worked my way up 3/4 strength and then flushed from there for the remaining 1.5-3 weeks(depending on strain). I added nutes every other watering and I usually water every other day during flowering. I also water more on days that I do not use nutes. It's different for everyone though and some people just have a lot of problems with the release soils.

Well, like I said. I've used the two month organic and the three month (on different grows of course) with pretty decent results. That six month time release was some fucked up shit. Killed ten girls as I recall.
