TurboNugs Indoor Grow Setup
Hey all,
I started a thread in the problem section and got tons of help from fellow members....especially RustyTricombe...thanks man!
Anyway i confused/cluttered my thread with multiple questions/concerns. So i decided to make a thread describing what my grow entails.
Ok got license for 12 plants total...until im a caregiver(few months)
Growing in cellar/crawlspace with max height of 5'
Veg Room:
3- 4' tube florescent
small fan
using 2-5 gal smart pots with Roots Organic soil
Temp 65-75 night-day Humidity is around 30-35%
18/6 light schedule
Using Botanicare (pro Grow, cal-mag,sweet)
Tap water (ph 7 always)
Ingoing nute water is pH 6.5
The room is not totally sealed, it has panda film hanging on all sides for light reflection not the prettiest but it works for veg.
Room is 6x4 using a painted white door for my floor
Vegging now Dj Blueberry, Cheese, Grape Ape
Flower Room:
Total size is 8x8x5 so it kinda cramped cause im tall
flower "area" is 5x3x2.5 with a scrog net
Cooltube 19''x6'' w/ Lumatek 600w switchable ballast and 430cfm inline fan cooling ballast, light and exhausting the stinky outside.
12/12 of course
Using Botanicare (pro bloom soil, sweet, cal-mag and hydroplex)
Tap is ph 7 always
Ingoing nute water is ph 6.5
Room is completely sealed with panda film
Got fresh air via squirrel fan
Temps 70-78 night-day, Humidity is 30-32%
Flowering now is White Romulan, Dj Short Flo, Big Bud, Medi Bud and Skunk
I hope i got everything.....LMK guysTurboNugs Reviewed by TurboNugs on . CalMag and Sweet are unnecessary during growth stage. Personally, I've replaced both with unsulfered molasses. (in flower) But since you've got 'em anyway...may as well use it.
Panda film and white walls (and tabletops) are unhelpful when using fluoro tubes. The effective light is only good up to 4-6 inches, so the reflected light travels too far to be helpful.
Smart pots aren't a real good idea for cannabis. Consistently saturated roots will rot. The suction created when watering from the top draws-down air to the roots. (via suction) Smart pots draw-up water, instead.
Other than that...looks good.

Thanks man....i was kinda wondering about the smart pots also.....the pot's (pun not intended) bottoms are still a little moist the day after watering soooo im thinking of switching out containers to square 5 gal for flowering and 2 gal for veg. Damn i spent $50+ on them smart pots.....oh well maybe use the for a another grow technique.
Plus im freaked out about switching containers in the flower room cause im doing a scrog, and some branches are tied to the screen and i don't want to piss them off.

Crap forgot to add i raised the cooltube to about 12'' above canopy to distribute the light a little more. I did this being i have 4' of effective light and my room is only 5' tall.

Bummer about the pot costs. But can you water from the top, and drain any runoff as best you can? With a little practice, you can figure-out how to avoid adding too much water for feedings and waterings, and not have to drain every time. Inconvienent, but likely much better than watering from below.
Most likely a good idea with the light. Doubtful there's any drawbacks to raising it a tad.

Slight overwatering and possible slight ph issue, but otherwise looks fine.
Ya might want to elevate the plant(s) in the foreground, up closer to the lights. (unless it raises the tops out of the direct lighting) Plants tend to stretch up, over and around stuff to get the best light. With height limitations, vertical stretch might not be a good idea.
Any chance you're familiar with adjusting your camera's white balance? The white balance adjusts for the yellowing. (no big deal, just curious...)
