    This one's for Rusty.

After our last little conversation about Hermie flowers I said I'd dissect the next one I found.

    So here it is.

Pic 1: The nug with the nanner, I excised the whole thing for effect and it's not that big so no real loss here.
Pic 2: Trimmed down to just the suspect calyx, and it's neighbor who has many pistils that are hanging up instead of erupting normally.
Pic 3: A bit more trimming,... down to the meat of it,... there's a single calyx back there,... it's got two Stamen's sticking out of it, and one Pistil. :wtf:
Pic 4: Tried opening up things a bit more,... one of the stamens separated,... the pistil is still attached to the other stamen.
Pic 5: Another angle after a bit more dissection that pretty clearly (IMO) show's that both male and female parts are generating from the same calyx.

This plant is still ripening, and won't be cut down unless I find more nanners. Which I expect to see based on the last 4 grows of the strain.

Looks like a calyx cluster, with a possible modified (mutant) nanner at it's side. Are the 'spikey' appendages somewhat rigid, or super-soft? I get 'em once in a while, but has never resulted in pollen nor seeds. Do you breed your own seeds, or do you purchase 'em?

Can you carefully split-open the banana-looking appendages down it's length, and see what's inside?

I'd look for seeded calyxs on the plant. (yellow 'racing stripe' from base to tip)
If no seeds are forming, and even if those are modified (mutant) nanners, the pollen may not be viable.

How long have they been in flower?

Its from clone GDP bought from a dispensary. I mothered the first clone, and every one of the offspring has either popped sacks early in flowering. (around day 15 or so) Or they've popped nanners late in flowering. Stared flushing a week ago, so it's about 7.5-8 weeks.

I plan on trying to grow some of the seeds to see if they will grow out any more stable.

This plant was in the room when my former mother popped a sack open under the canopy of a Scrog, so it's pollenated and there's already plenty of seeds. I'm worried about my blueberry that is about week 6 in the room right now, "IF" these nanners contain viable pollen it'll be a bad day for me.

The nanners are not butter soft, but far from rigid in texture. I haven't tried to open up one of the little nanners, I'll try that with the next one I find.

Found a couple "Morphed" flowers again today!

This time instead of excising the whole bud (they were in larger buds) I excised just the hermie flower.....

I did give the nanners a little bit of a push to see, and they were pretty soft and really easy to puncture/tear.

As for what came out of them/what was in them... It appears to be a dry-ish yellow powder?

    Not really,... it's fuckin pollen!

On the plus side, this plant IS showing some amber in the stalks of the trichome's and is 100% cloudy otherwise, so I can chop it any time soon.

I'm mainly worried about pollenating my blueberry!

Pic 1: Suspect hermie flower with one nanner and 2 pistils
Pic 2: Another hermie flower, this one with 5 nanners, and NO pistils,.... aside from the Stamen growing out of the calyx instead of being contained within the sepals until they are mature, this is a MALE flower!
Pic 3: Broke open the Stamens to see what was inside,.... big surprise here.
Pic 4: My blueberry that I don't want pollenated,... main cola, week 6
Pic 5: Same plant side bud, you guess how far along.

Normally I don't play guessing games with cannabis, but were I forced to venture a guess, I'd say perhaps 6 weeks...(that's what you said for the previous picture)

Did you disect one of those 'spikey' things? Still curious what they are.

Ahhh, I see what your looking at for the "Spikey things" It's a bad angle of the pic,... thats the sepal "casing" of the flower, looks pretty odd from the one angle. :wtf:

Anyway, I've pulled the hermie from the bloom room and am letting it mature under natural light cycle (I figure if the outdoor plants are blooming, then I can finish this off in the bedroom without stressing it too much)

Doubting it's the sepal. The sepal is the casing around a flower, like the nanner or the calyx. That 'spikey' thing is a different structure altogether, but I still haven't found out what it is. Next time I get one, I'll follow it back to it's base, and see if maybe it's a growing tip poking through the calyxs. But beyond that guess, I'm clueless.

Ok,... now I'm lost,... what are you seeing that I'm not? :wtf: Can you highlight it in the pic? (Copy/photoshop/paste?)

Hey guys, just wondering if yall ever found out what the deal was with this half half m/f lol- I've got a crop goin and i'm seeing what looks to be male pods, but then I get a pistil- and the other pistil sites have tons of pistils from 1 calyx, pretty similar to what had been goin on with ya, I know its an old post but this was great for info
