    Odd Branching

Just finished vegging my first grow. Built a BB on a whim and used a bag seed just so I could see if I could do it. Must admit this is really fun, and I am way into it now. Ready for a multi plant operation, but still waiting to see results of this first plant.

I have moved to 12/12, and in inspecting the plant closely, I have noticed a few things:

    - From early on I saw that my plant has one very large main stalk, with 3 other, smaller stalks, all originating from the hydroton base. I didnt think much of this, just the way the plant is growing. Now the plant is 16 inches tall, and all these stalks are branched like crazy. The "canopy" is completely crowded (partly for reasons ill explain next). Im wondering if its too late to trim, since I am already trying to induce flowering.

    - Many of the larger man stems are branching out into 4 petioles instead of 2. There are the normal "V" shaped branches, buy also a second set comming out in a "T" shape in relation to the main stem. All of the "T" branches are forming a single set of leaves with no further sub branches. These are also forming HUGE leaf fans, of 9 leaves or more, even though they are not on the top portion of the plant.

Can anyone advise on if it is still wise to trim this plant, and what the odd branching my be due to? I should note that after a week of 12/12, this plant shows now indication of gender as yet, but I'm aware that my be normal.

    Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you can certainly still trim that plant.... I wouldn't do anything major after say the third week, however.
