I wouldn't say religion is bullshit. I never go to church of any kind, closest thing was a couple of Buddhist Goma ceremonies in New York City two years ago. But I go to a Catholic school, so I figured since I have to take a Theology class every year I might as well learn a little and quit being such a smartass about it. As it happens, I haven't found any new affinity with the bible or organized religion in general, but despite the weird fucks that misinterperet and distort the stuff, the basic ideals are pretty solid. You can't really argue with "treat people the way you'd like to be treated" and "murder is not allowed."

Besides, lots of people get some kind of solace and even positive motivation out of their religion. It sucks that your parents are trying to force this stuff on you, but you can't be so dismissive of such a complicated topic.
