amsterdam Reviewed by amsterdam on 04-22-2005. religion is bullshit god dam im so sick of my family trying to make me all religious and shit. they want me to go with them to meetings and other religious stuff but i dont believe in god and i think its a waste of fucking time. i havent told them that i dont believe in god b/c they are very religious and strong about "fear god" and "god is watching you" and theyre always talking about ...god did this for us, be thankful, and god did that for us... Ilovelife, whats up. Where do you live? I had a simaler situation, but not with religeon. Either stop smoking or move out, so I moved out. Considering your parents seem fairly serious about thier church (ugh), there is nothing you can do but tolerate it untill you move out, which i reccomend doing at 18, and telll them excactly why (i dont like religeon forced upon me). If i'm wrong and your parents are understanding, just have a serious sit-down and explain that you don't enjoy or belive in church, and it doesnt matter if you go now because you never will on your own. Now a few words for Torog:

Western medicine,still cannot explain,all of the properties of marijuana..that's because,I believe,that it was Divinely created..and God gave us marijuana,a seed-bearing herb,to help us ,when nothing else can. Hemp,is another miracle of God,as well..it is capable of solving many problems..it can be used for food,fuel,fiber and medicine..I just don't understand how anyone who uses marijuana,doesn't understand how only a loving God,could give us such a plant,that's capable of helping so many folks,with so many different types of problems. You may think that you're using it only for recreation..but in fact,it's helping you medically,as well.

Ok, would you care to name a few plants (thats what marijuana is, a plant) that aren't a creation of god? If I got you straight here, you are saying that marijuana and hemp are god's great creations because they serve a purpose and make you feel good? Actually, it's a fact that all life on Earth evolved through the process of natural selection. Perhaps there is some greater entity orchestrating the chaos of the universe, but since I have never or will never see any proof of his/her existence, I choose not devote my time to worship.

It saddens me to see so many lost souls here,who do not have much,if any hope..in their lives..because they reject the Love of Christ,and turn instead,to a God-less,secular humanist society,for answers.

This is one of the things that is wierd about religeous people. Just to clarify; all people who don't accept Christ are lost souls? I gues that means that 5 out of the 6 billion people on this planet are going straight to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $100. It is quite arrogant to "know" what happens when you die. I'm not trying to force my religious beliefs on anyone..I'm merely stating what I believe in,it's up to you..to choose your path. I'm not preaching fire and brimstone,demanding that everyone accept what I believe in..choosing Jesus Christ,as your Lord and Saviour..is strictly up to you and voluntary.

However, you did say that those did not accept Christ were "lost souls", and we all what happens to lost souls when they die (everlasting torment in the firery pits of hell). Did you ever thing that you might go to "Muslim hell" because you don't accept the terms of the Muslim faith? Your pretty sure they are wrong, and they are just a certain you are a heathen. Kinda debases all religeon, doesn't it? An all powerful-god-creator can't even get 6 billion puny humans to all worship him and his son.
