Don't argue with them unless you know what your talking about(like others have said) and don't get heated up either. Thats what they believe and understand and no amount of arguing is going to change that, but from the sounds of it you may not have much luck getting them to except your beliefs unless you put up a good arguement and stay calm and positive, if you get all aggresive like in your post they are only gonna blame satan.

I personally havn't believed in god for a few years . My parents never preached, infact my mother is an atheist.
Id keep your beliefs on the low for now, at least until you have an idea on how your parents will react. I take it they don't know you smoke weed?

they recently found out i smoke and things have just really been getting worse b/c now they want me closer to god. ive been caught 4x in the since dec. it sucks im a dumass but i just love weed i smoke it whenver i can. i decided ill just go with them, they give me food and shelter so i can at least make them pleased by tagging along but w/e ill be high as fuck when im there so its all good. thanks for the help everyone and im def. just gonna try to avoid the subject b/c i think its a much better idea than to bring it up, i no my rents and i no it will not go well at all.

I'm going to have to agree with GreenGauncho, just do your best to politely explain your feelings towards your parents.

I find religion interesting and yes there is a scam/power-hungry aspect of it but there is also something beautiful about it. I don't think people rip people off and kill people because of religion, I think its just their nature to do so and religion is a convenient excuse. Outlaw religion and people will still be doing horrible things.

Hey my wifes Baptist Christian , I was raised a Catholic..

Born agains piss me off cause they wanna knock Catholics..they say praying to saints is wrong...for example among other things..I mean on the outside they will be nice and friendly to Catholics but on the inside they wanna covert them or think they are misguided??

well my parents arent christian... sry for the cuss words but i was so pissed cuz i just got grounded again for tellin my parents i want to see my friend tomorow. i used to believe in god and pray and feel all tingly but now i get nothing.

ever since i started smokin i just get real high and talk with my friend bout this type of stuff and i just dont belive in god. ive tried and tried to believe and pray but i really jsut dont get anything. ever since my puberty ended i feel like everything new is happenin its really weird. like new thoughts and interests and curiousity, its good but its also makin things bad.

Western medicine,still cannot explain,all of the properties of marijuana..that's because,I believe,that it was Divinely created..and God gave us marijuana,a seed-bearing herb,to help us ,when nothing else can. Hemp,is another miracle of God,as well..it is capable of solving many problems..it can be used for food,fuel,fiber and medicine..I just don't understand how anyone who uses marijuana,doesn't understand how only a loving God,could give us such a plant,that's capable of helping so many folks,with so many different types of problems. You may think that you're using it only for recreation..but in fact,it's helping you medically,as well.

It saddens me to see so many lost souls here,who do not have much,if any hope..in their lives..because they reject the Love of Christ,and turn instead,to a God-less,secular humanist society,for answers.

Just because humans are not advanced enough in their knowledge of science to understand a particular phenomenon doesnt mean we should just throw our hands up in the air and say its a miracle of God. If we did that all the time, no scientific progress would be made at all. People used to think the fact that mushrooms seemingly sprouted out of nowhere attributed it to witches, just because they didnt know about spores. I have a theory why Christians continually oppose evolution being taught, not because they actually believe its wrong, but because its an embarassment to them that so many parts of the bible are wrong and scientificaly impossible, i.e, Adam and Eve.

Why dont you write to Bush and tell him to reject the strident call of satan and his minions. He's the one murdering Iraqi civilians everyday based on a lie. I think that's one of the saddest things I've ever heard..I pray that the Truth,will be known to you..before it's too late.
