2nd grow
Alright i need some serious help. I really thought the second grow would be easier since i know what i am doing and need to do but it is not going as well as i thought.
To start i need to make a correction with the plants The plant that i thought was a G-13 is actually a Lemon sour diesel(L.S.D) i guess there was a mix up when i picked them up...i dunno. So i have 2 white widow clones, 2 sharks breath clones, and 1 L.S.D.
Problem: The white widows look the best which i am happy about, white widow has been a fav of mine for a long time. The leaves on the white widow look beautiful green at the begging then start to yellow as they get bigger. Why?
Sharks breath are really yellow and kinda looked burned at the tips.
My bigest problem is the LSD the leaves are still curled and yellowing. When i touch the leaves they are hard almost like they are all dried up.
My setup:
They are in their own personal grow room
under a 600w MH light
room temp between 75-79
using age old organic grow
PH is a big problem it starts out 8.5 or higher i just did another treatment which has brought it to 7.2 will do another treatment tomorrow. Is the PH the main reason for all my problems and if so can yall give me some ideas on what is the best method to keep the PH down.
They were in soil and have been transplanted into hydro over a week ago. I know i said i wanted to try soil but i just dont like it; its hard for me to know when to water and i tend to over water so with hydro i know exactly how much water is needed and when. Trying to simplify my life a little more.
I think that is about all.
Thank you so much for your help i really am stuck and dont know what to do.
If you need pics just let me know and i will take some. They dont look pretty so i dont feel like taking pictures but will if needed.

Although blackhash could probably assist you better with this......i will give it a shot.
It sounds to me as if you are having PH and/or over-fert issues.
If you are growing hydroponically, you're PPM(parts per million) may be off.
Are you testing the PH and PPM?
I used to over-water in soil growing also.........it takes patience and planning.
You have to let your soil dry out between waterings. If it is a big problem, just get one of those plant moisture meters and you should be able to soil grow.
I have a soil PH tester and water PH test kit that I use. I have issues with alkaline(high PH) water also,so I have to adjust it down accordingly.
You may have to water with 5.5-6.0 PH water for a while until the plant heals if you've been watering with high PH water.

1. I am using hydrotone
2. After washing the roots they were pretty white and when i checked them last nite they still looked white.
3. I went to AHL and got some PH down solution
4. i am using tap water and the PH is 8.8 ish I have a 5 gallon water jug that i added PH down to so hopefully that will help.
5. Right now the water cycle is i add more water about every other day or when needed. I dont have a timer or anything for the water just go off my judgement. And i manually water them.
6. I have only used the age old once and i used about 1/3 of the recommended amount. They did look good for about 2 days after i used it and then not so good. I plan on feeding them every other week.
Thanks for all the tips and i agree about trying to fix everything at once so right now my main focus is getting the PH under control and then i will tackle the next issue whatever it may be.
Thanks a bunch for the help.

the yellow leaves could be root lock or temp problems , but if your having ph level problems then that is probably it, it is not absorbing nutes as they should. I just saw this now, so if you can give us a update. do you have a ph tester the little drops and such? caseu you cant uses those to test drain age, those are only for clear water no nutes and pot drainage. but tap water should work as long as you get the ph down caseu our taps are heavily chlorinated. That is another thing leave your 5 gallon jug uncovered for a good 24 hours then use it in your room, the chlorine is allot for cannabis, buy letting it sit you are letting the chlorine evaporate. for germinating our water should be ok but I always tell people to use distilled and same for clones. this water also has to be ph ballanced of coars.

Here is how you solve the ph balance problem, you need to do what is called a flush. since you are using nutes, their is no reason you can't flush your plants and in fact I recommend flushing every 2 weeks just for fun, in the future flush every month and see if it is different, and write down a grow log of plans for the grow and what you expect, that way when it all plays out and your harvesting you can write down your findings so if their is a change in flushing frequently then you know.
but in soil like hydro all you need to do is flush with clean ph balanced water and let it drain then repeat, do this process 2 or 3 times at least make sure to have a big bucket because your gonna drain allot like at least a gallon. when done just let it sit for 2 days or until it needs water again then give it nutes just like normal. what your doing is flushing all the nutes all that everything the soil holds even a little soil out and adding fresh clean ph balanced water for its new watering cycle. which is probably every day. I don't know what your cycle is but usually 2 times water and then 1 time food, then 2 times water then 1 time food and so on (when small 2 days water, 1 day nutes). let top soil dry so when you press down on the top soil it is not wet, then water or feed till small amount of drainage.
and hydro nutes work well in soil usually so no miracle grow, any of them are good advanced nutes, hydro farm, general, what ever, but I'm sure your all over that. when their in bigger pots usually its water every 2 or 3 days but the cycle is longer and more water and nutes is used.
some people will flush in soil not just hydro once a week, they will work it into their cycles.

What is your TDS or EC count, ph to 5.6 - 6.5: but the N sweet spot is 7.

that is correct by the book; but look at the ph chart; see what's available at each point. do this because plant will not go with the book all the time; so it is good to move the ph manually to check which part of the nurt. is not being taken up.
