Hi there everyone i am preparing for my second grow tonite. Picked up clones from SWOP and i am very pleased. SWOP is by far my fav. Everyone is super super nice and compassionate. I got sharks breath ( love that name but hope it doesnt smell like sharks breath ha ha jk) White widow, and G13 haze. They are all going to be soil i want to give that shot and see if i like hydro or soil better. I will take pictures later after everything is all setup. So Stay tuned.

Sorry for the delay i have not been feeling well. These are my new beautiful ladies.

The G-13 is the bigger one and will more then likely be my mama plant. She is a little droopy in the pictures i have been so sick i just was able to get of the couch and check on them. She did get watered so hopefully she is not to upset with me.

The clones are all doing good except for one sharks breath. If she doesnt perk up here soon i will get another one. In the next few days hopefully i will be feeling better to get to the store and get the clones their own pots. i had to do something quick and that was all i had available.

The last picture was part of my outside grow that i had in my first grow journal. I called her my 9 finger beauty. Last month i was really really sick and in bed for two days and one of the days my kids ripped my whole garden up and of course my babies were part of it. Out of 3 i was only able to save the 9 fingered beauty. She has been through alot and is looking better. She is only producing buds on the top half of the plant. She also had a spider mite but i used Einstein oil (neem oil) and havent seen any new webs or the spider at all. She has lost most of her 9 finger fan leaves and gone down to 7 but she has alot of cola sites so far.

Forgot i had a question on friday i am gonna get some nutrients i have a limit of $50 that can be spent i would like to get enough to get me from veg to flower in one stop but if not ok. What is the best that i can buy with the limited funds for vegging 5 plants in soil?

Hey M420M...

I would recommend bat guano. I just found a 2 lb box of Down to earth guano for veg for $9.95 and 4 lb bag of Happy Frog Bloom guano for $13.95. Free shipping... I found this by searching "hydroponics free shipping" on google. Never ordered from the place (in OR) but they offer free shipping on >all< purchases and that will save you some cash.

You may also try calling locally for the same products. Many hydro stores carry Happy Frog or another good guano. Guano "tea" goes a long way and makes tasty buds, IMO. A good Nursery may also have some guano on the shelf and no 'hydro" connection so don't rule those out.

Whatever you decide to buy.....SOME local/mom and pop hydro stores will give you a discount AND IT NEVER HURTS TO ASK for one. 10% off will nix the tax paid if nothing else.

the secret is HOW you ask. Do NOT ask for a MMJ discount or mention being a MMJ patient >whatsoever<. This is a deal-killer. Period. It isn't because the folks running the store aren't cool, it's about their suppliers leaning on them and telling them they will cut them off from wholesale pricing if they sell to pot growers/etc...med or not.

What you need to do (IMO) is say to them "Out of respect for you and your store I will only go as far as to say that I am under a doctor's care and would appreciate any help you could offer me the way of a discount/etc.".

Such an approach shows extreme respect for the Store/etc. but still gets the message across WITHOUT mentioning MMJ/MM/pot/grass/weed/etc.

Thanks i will keep that in mind when i go in i have a store in mind that i have been told give discounts to patients but i myself am still a little leery on giving out that info freely. So i am not to concerned about a discount at this point.

I was thinking bat guano but wanted to see what others had to say as well. I am using some organic soil that i really liked with my garden this year with some extra perlite and vermiculite (i think that is spelt right).

AHL has just started a patients program (thanks to Totah Sam!!!). You still are asked not to mention the M or C words. All you need do is tell the sales person you are a medical patient (you can do so in private) and they will know exactly what you need advise for. They will also give you a 20% discount on all your gardening needs.
So will All seasons and Santa Fe Hydro.

Just saying.... tell them and they will give it to you.
