Getting cold
It's freezing in the mornings ( 31 degrees ). How well can the girls handle the cold ? Is it good or is it harmful ?

31 isnt that bad. But if frost got to it it will damper its progress, maybe turn it purple. I have seen them stand tought to cold, but it doesnt help. As long as it isnt every night yet. Also they will fare better if root are in the ground. Roots dont like the cold .

How big are your plants? You have to create a micro climate to extend your grow season. For an easy fix you can cover the plants at night with a sheet of plastic or a blanket. Secure the cover well. Also you can surround the plant with black rocks. The rocks absorb the heat during the day and release the heat at night. If you want to get more advanced you can create some sort of container. Thx for the ideas, I also found out they can take some cold but I'm sure it will slow them down. I saw ice on them and the leaves were droopy. When the sun came out they perked up : )

For sure, keep an eye out for mold problems if the weather is wet. Try to get as much air circulation in there as you can. I am thinking about making tee-pees and covering my plants if there is a big rain storm coming.
