Blueberry Skunk, take 2
I'll say this much about LED growing: it works, but it's bloody slow. It yielded one female out of 5 seeds (bad batch of seeds?) which grew tall and leggy (I called it my giraffe bud
).
This time I'm mixing techniques. Same stealth grow cab, 3 2 gallon containers; one cool white 45w CFL, one blue PAR38 LED bulb and one mixed red and blue.
Germination stage (planted 3 BB Skunk seeds last night) so I'm hopeful the remaining seeds will yield healthy girls...Pedro de Pacas Reviewed by Pedro de Pacas on . Don't know about slow under LED,.... I'm using 120w for veg, my girls are "Growing" just as fast as they did under HID, but they aren't stretching!
Pic 1: My newest Durban clone, up potted about a week ago from the rapid rooter tray, to a 1L pot. She's stacked on 3 new nodes of growth, and stretched, about.... 1/2" I'm going to have to move her down away from the light some to get her to stretch out some more.
Pic 2: My Habanero pepper,.... This one has started to "Hide" it's new growth UNDER the old leaves! (notice the newgrowth tops are tucking back under larger leaves from 2 nodes down the stem? I DID NOT DO THAT!!!!!) Again, I'm going to have to move this plant down away from the light,... it's just ridicules.
But the new growth is coming in at about the same rate as it was under the 400W MH that I used to have in the room. Just my :twocents:
Good luck with the new run!

What kind of LED fixture are you using? I can't afford a Procyon and I don't think my UFO is up the snuff...I have a 150W HPS light, but the way the ballast is hooked up it's a pain in the ass to setup in a small grow cab! So CFL with LED supplement seems to be the key in my small stealth cab!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say: I'll be vegging under 24/0 and switch to 12/12 once the second set of leaves shows. 2 days later an one sprout already poking its head out...neat!
