Essentially you are wanting to increase output per plant, correct?

If that is so, the longer the plant is in the vegetative state and allowed to gain height/size, the more the output will be in the flower state. This has a caveat of just how huge can you handle in flower? As an example I have 3 different plant species, one a true landrace sativa, a very indica dominate, and a Sativa with indica crossed in to keep down the height.

The Sativa went to flower at 6 inches after cloning. After 21 days in flower, it only just started to flower but is7 feet tall and it has to be FIM'd and LST to finish the flowering. I have no finished versions of this, so no idea how much I will end up with.

The Indica goes to flower at 16 inches, and finishes at about 3 feet. The cross goes to flower at a foot, gets FIM'd, and grows to about 4-5 feet at finish. Both these plants I have tried the FIM and nothing on them, and production is exactly the same every time if they go to the flower room at the same size as before.

So my complicated statement is trying to say, the plant size upon introduction to the flowering state is the greatest factor in how much the plant will produce. You will learn what size works for your plants and situation/room ceiling height.
