Starting Hydro Grow, is my seedling healthy?
Hi there, just started my first hydro grow, and am right now sprouting hawaiian haze x plum from seed. It's been about 5 days since it first popped out of my rockwool, and has been growing relatively consistently day to day under a 400w MH @ ~3.5 feet above. I am slightly concerned however as it seems like the stem is getting a bit wobbly, and the cotyledon seems to be drooping. (see pic). Am I all good, or is my seedling suffering / what can I do to remedy it?
Thanks guys, great boards, and tons of awesome information

It is stretching for the light. When you transplant it into your new medium make sure to bury it down pretty deep to the the stem is covered by the medium (hydroton, etc) . The light should be moved slightly closer during seedling stage

Looks on track
Extra stretching is normal when starting from seed.
seedlings dont need much light to get goin; I use 1 regular bulb, or 1 CFL til they reach some serrated leaves.

Put a small fan on that lil one to create a MILD breeze. All you want is just a lil "wiggle" from the plant. The gentle rocking back and forth will help strengthen the stem before it becomes top heavy and starts going in the wrong direction.

Just thought I'd give you guys an update (see pic) :-)
I am having some brown spotting issues in random places across the plant though and I'm not sure exactly what's causing it...
It seems like its either light burn or mg deficiency, but my reflector is ~18 inches above the plant, and I added some epsom salts when I fed it, so I'm not sure... pH is good at 5.5 (calibrated test)

Picked up some calmag+ today, and added about 5ml/gal. I'm going to change out the water/ refeed either tomorrow or the day after anyway, so we'll see what happens
