trying to get my Rec for Insomnia. Can I do this without a current prescription?

I have my appointment on Sunday to get my rec for Insomnia and chronic pain. I've never had a prescription for sleeping pills, however, I am currently seeing a Sleep Specialist at the recommendation from my general physician. I don't have access to my old medical records, so I don't know if my Insomnia is documented anywhere, and I'm currently only using over the counter remedies for my Insomnia(because it's the only thing I can do at this time, even though they don't work). However, because I was recommended by my general physician to see / currently am seeing a Sleep Specialist, I'm wondering if this will be enough to get my recommendation? I've heard sometimes they'll give you a two-three month recommendation and have you come back later on when a diagnosis is finite. I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight on this? My insomnia is terrible, and cannabis is pretty much the only thing that has brought me some relief this far. I also suffer from very painful woman's issues and have an old Sciatic injury that causes me pain fairly frequently. I'm just hoping that having the referral from my General Physician to see the Sleep Specialist, and attending appointments with the specialist will be enough to get me my MMJ Rec. Please let me know what you all think! thanks so much.

I think it "could" work especially if you have those records, if you are in southern cali, I could probably recommend you to my doc, he would most likely recommend you especially if you have those records with a specialist to prove that you've tried other things.

But to be honest, insomnia alone is not a very serious condition. Might want to add anxiety or neck pain or something of the sort..... Personally I have crazy backpains from working too much OT and injuries, and a car accident recently. I like takin a few bong rips and using the electrical nerve stimulator.

I'm in West LA. Which doctor did you go to? Insomnia was one of the specific conditions that the Care Center I picked said they treated with Rec's, so it's one of the reasons I chose them. It's something I've been suffering from for legitimately ten years, and I know if I really do some digging, I could hopefully get ahold of my medical records if they were to give me a temporary recommendation. I definitely could for my back injury.

Well I'm outside the city but in LA county, the doc I went to is off the 60 freeway. He is very well known, and their online verification is always good. I actually have/had insomnia too(kind of gone now), but it was only one of the things on my list of what medical MJ helps me with.

I'll message you their website with locations and you can leave a thing where they call you to make an appointment. I should mention this place is a little more expensive than other cheap ones, but it's top notch quality, accepted everywhere with no problems, discount for return renewal. I've seen people have problems verifying because of crappy service and I'm glad I don't.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. The place I'm going to seems to be very reputible across the state of California, and I picked them because of the way their ID card looks and their verification process seems to be handled, even if they were slightly more expensive. You get what you pay for, usually haha. What are the chances of getting a Rec without any current prescriptions for sleeping pills? In your personal opinion, of course, seeing how you've been through the process.

Well you should at least tell him you prefer MJ over any medication you could find at the drugstore, that's it's much more effective without some kind of side effects.

just go to marijuanamedicine (dot) com and they got all the info there, the way they do it is you send them info over the webpage and they call you to setup an appointment. They got alot of locations listed on the site so just pick the one best for you I guess.

or if you're going with the one you found then gl and let me know how it goes.
