Question about assistance in grow area?
I have tried to look in the laws but can not find if/where it says who may or may not assist in the actual growing.
Since I am disabled, I find certain tasks to be very hard or impossible. I have people that will assist me in my daily needs, and they are willing to help with the grow as well.
But I need to know what the law says about my child (still a minor) assisting in the grow area. There is also an non-related adult who may be willing to assist, would that be a problem?

Question about assistance in grow area?
An obvious answer would be to assign the adult as your caregiver. That way, he would be protected by Amendment 20.

+1 on talk to an attorney. They will probably tell you it's a bad idea to involve the minor.
Not so sure the other adults can even help if they are not designated caregiver for you... they could be illegally in possession.

Question about assistance in grow area?
My limited understanding of the mess we are in;
Minor children near grows/helping with growing is a BIG no-no. In the end it is best that they don't even know it is there and they don't see you medicating/etc.
You >definitely< need to set up a lockable room with children present in the home.
Anyone who >>touches<< your grow needs to be carded. If they are a patient they can partake of the herb from the garden with you. If they are merely a caregiver for you and are not a patient they could get in deep shit if they are found to have THC in their system.
good luck going forward

LOL, HP. I personally think they will deploy the Brain Police on matters such as this. :stoned:
I doubt, like you, that such a clause can/will be enforced, but it is there (for >some< reason) just the same. In addition, "illegal use/intoxication" is covered under many other statuates in CO law. In a similar fashion, 1284 doesn't say much about minors in the growroom because the Child Abuse laws cover such issues elsewhere within the laws of the State.
FWIW
(b) A PATIENT OR PRIMARY CAREGIVER SHALL NOT:
(VII) USE MEDICAL MARIJUANA IF THE PERSON DOES NOT HAVE A
DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITION AS DIAGNOSED BY THE PERSON'S
PHYSICIAN IN THE COURSE OF A BONA FIDE PHYSICIAN-PATIENT
RELATIONSHIP AND FOR WHICH THE PHYSICIAN HAS RECOMMENDED THE USE
OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Recommend setting the unrelated adult as your caregiver. They won't be able to medicate but will be able to legally assist with your grow and/or obtain cannabis for you.
