"Dex" ? (help please)

What is 'dex'. I beleive it to be the shorter/slang term for a behavioral problems pill. Similair to ritalin or adderall. From what I've seen its a clear capsule with small white and yellow beads inside. What I wish to know is; What does it do? (I've heard just concentration when taken orally)
How do you take it? (most people snort it)
What are the short term effects?
What are the long term effects? (a friend told me it shrivels your p-p-penis )
What is the full name for the drug? (other than 'dex')

Thats it. Any information would be awesome, I'de look it up on erowid but I don't know the actual name.

Dexadrine is real tough on the nose if you snort, the best think to do is eat it, but if it is timed released make sure to grind it up to a powder.
