First Post, Advice needed on ventilation/extraction for two 8" x 4" joined grow tents

Hi Everyone

I'm looking for advice on how best to ventilate/extract 2 8x4 grow tents simultaneously as they are in the same room and will be placed somewhat beside each other. I would ideally like to have a single channel that passes over the tents with 2 suction ports in each tent sucking from the top to a single extractor fan and then out through the wall to the outside. Preferably one carbon filter per tent attached to the channel and then maybe 8 bends in the whole system. I kinda know how to account for all these factors in calculation to derive at a fan requirement value but cant help but feel that what I want is going to have a compounded effect on the fan requirement........hence I ask for other peoples opinions on the matter....

Well, if I was you, I would place them together and cut a piece a say 3 ft by 6 ft out of each one and take some duct tape or aluminium tape and tape both tents together. That way you will only need half the equipment, because you'll really have only one tent 8x8. Less fans, less a scrubber etc.

Hi Keylime, thanks for the response. I wanted to butt them at 90' so as to better use the rest of the space in the room, I want a mother/clone tent in the room too. The two tents in question are flowering rooms. But that is food for thought, thanks.

Im not experienced with what you are asking but I do have an idea that might work.

What if you duct the outgoing from tent 1 to the incoming to tent 2. Have one larger carbon scrubber in tent 2 and pull the air through both in a chain instead of the multiple scrubber idea?

Again im not sure if this would be effective but its an idea.
